  21. 1) What's FcWin ?

  23.     FcWin is an AMIGA Futur Composer music player for Windows 95/NT. Futur
  24. Composer is an AMIGA music format used before the today famous "soundtracker
  25. module". There is many old games tunes written in that format, so the Music
  26. lovers can enjoy their favorit tunes !!

  30. 2) Cardware Registration.
  31.  
  32.     FCWin is  "cardware". That  means, if  you like  this program  you are
  33. strongly  encouraged  to  become  a registered  user  by sending a nice il-
  34. lustrated  postcard  to  me.   This  helps  me getting  motivated  in program-
  35. ming upgrades and further productions.
  36.     Please DON'T send  letters or  emails  as  a  substitute  for  a real
  37. postcard !!

  46.     v1.0: First release of FCWIN. The COMPLETE emulator was written in a
  47. week, so there is still many bugs in that version... Wait for the second...

  63. 5) Technical Stuff...
  64.  
  65.     The Futur Composer is an AMIGA format. That is, the replay rout works
  66. very closely with the AMIGA SoundChip hardware. (The chip is called PAULA).
  67. FcWin emulatate PAULA (4 digi-voices, volume and frequency variation). The
  68. Play-Routine was originally written in Motorola MC68000 and converted by me
  69. in C language.

  73. 6) Problems ?

  75.     Q: when I run "FCWIN.EXE" it says: "This program requires Microsoft
  76. Windows".

  78.     A: He he, sorry but MsDos glory is finished... That is, you must hear
  79. your favorite tunes under Windows 95 ! If you are a DOS fan, just know it
  80. exist a FC player under MSDOS written by Ben/Overlanders. (FCPLAY.EXE, I
  81. think...)

  84.     Q: when I run FCWIN, a dialog box tell me "WaveOut Device Already In
  85. Use" ?

  87.     A: FcWin use standart Windows WaveOut Device to play digitized sound.
  88. Unfortunatly Windows does not share Sound Device so if you have already a
  89. program playing sound you can't run FCWIN. (Ex if you are using the great
  90. STSOUND !)

  94. 7) The Futur...
  95.  
  96.     First of all I must remove some bugs playing some modules. Second,that
  97. version only replay Futur Composer v1.4 module. Soon I'll add a 1.3 play rou-
  98. tine.

  100.     Before writing FCWIN I have done a little FC player on the ATARI ST.
  101. Now Mr Bee/Overlanders is working on it (Add user Interface, Optimizing for
  102. ATARI-TT or Falcon). Contact me if you are interrested...

  104.     By the way, If you are interested by Old music, just know I have writ-
  105. ten a ATARI-ST soundchip emulator who can play ATARI tunes (MadMax, Count Zero,
  106. AnCool etc...). Contact me if you are interested...
